Winkle’s PLA WOOD is a PLA-based filament with a 40% wood fiber loading, composed of cellulose fibers bonded with lignin.
This textured filament based on natural fibers gives the final piece the look, feel and appearance of wood. ▶︎Ideal to make decorative pieces with a wood-like finish.

The 3D filament PLA HD wood or Winkle wood is composed of PLA, a biodegradable plastic that is obtained from starch that can come from corn, beets, wheat … And the other percentage are natural fibers, which makes it a totally biodegradable product.
In addition, this filament to have a high load of natural cork, gives us a finish similar to wood or cork, so it opens a wide range of possibilities when making a 3D printing. This allows us many possibilities to make original decorative designs such as flower pots, table elements…

PLA Wood Winkle
Winkle PLA HD Wood filament is available in 1.75 mm or 2.85 mm and can be used in 3D printers with FFF/FDM technology.
Printing can be done from 200ºC to 230ºC, so we can achieve different shades and finishes, although to achieve a finish as close to wood as possible we recommend printing at 230ºC.
Recommendations for printing PLA Wood
- The use of nozzle > 0.4 mm (e.g. 0.6 mm) is recommended.
- In case of using 0.4 mm nozzles, it is advisable to use high layer height.
- Continued use of composite filaments can affect the condition of your mouthpiece.

- Hot bed: 50 – 60 ºC.
