PETG

PETG or Polyethylene Glycol Terephthalate is one of the most famous and widely used filaments in the 3D printing world.

Among the advantages of PETG filament are a higher bending and impact resistance than PLA. In addition, it has better interlayer adhesion and superior temperature resistance. It also shows low shrinkage and warping deformation, together with a higher thermal resistance than PLA. It has UV resistance, making it ideal for outdoor applications.

Our integrated system certified to ISO 9001 and 14001 standards ensures that our processes are aimed at achieving maximum product quality and minimum environmental impact.

We care about the planet and the health of its inhabitants; our products comply with the demanding REACH regulation, which guarantees the absence of extremely worrying substances, and we are committed to the circular economy with the reduction of packaging and ECOEMBES management for the correct recycling and reuse of the same.

Properties:

  • Higher resistance to impacts or shocks, bending, and temperature compared to PLA.
  • Easy to print, almost the same as PLA, with good results and good layer adhesion.
  • PETG is a biodegradable material.
  • Excellent weather resistance.
  • Requires a heated bed at around 70 ºC.

Printing parameters:

  • Printing temperature: 220-240 ºC
  • Bed temperature: 60-80 ºC
  • Recommended printing speed: 50-70 mm/s.
  • Enclosed chamber: not mandatory.

PETG Material

PETG is a thermoplastic created by adding glycol to PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) to improve some of its properties.

This filament offers greater chemical resistance, durability, and ease of printing. Compared to other types of 3D printing filaments, PETG combines the ease of printing of PLA filament with the characteristic strength of ABS filament.

PETG is an excellent material for 3D printing. It prints easily, has excellent layer adhesion, and is odorless. Its shrinkage capacity is very low, allowing for larger prints than with other filaments like PLA.

This filament provides a high-quality finish, has a glossy appearance, and can be made in solid or translucent colors.

Applications for PETG Filament

PETG is particularly suitable for outdoor applications, prototyping parts, medical applications, prosthetics, decorative figures, lighting accessories, and the food industry:

  • Sheets.
  • Straps.
  • Trays.

Standard PETG Filament

Standard PETG filament stands out for its ease of printing, comparable to PLA, making it an ideal choice for both 3D printing professionals and hobbyists. This filament offers a unique combination of features that make it highly versatile and easy to use.
Advantages of Standard PETG Filament

  • Ease of Printing.
  • Good Adhesion.
  • Odorless Properties and Low Shrinkage.
  • High resistance to high temperatures and outdoor conditions.

Crystal PETG Filament

Winkle’s crystal PETG filament stands out for its beautiful color and crystal finish, providing a shiny and translucent appearance to 3D printed parts. This filament is not only aesthetically appealing but also a sustainable option, as it is recyclable and environmentally friendly.
Benefits of PETG Filament

  • Mechanical Resistance.
  • Thermal Resistance.
